Since producing the movie
A Dance For Bethany
my wife and I have had a desire to get involved and be a part of the
solution to the many serious issues confronting our society and in
fact the entire global community. Most folk know that we are
at a crossroads.
What can one couple do to actually and effectually be a part of the
solution to at least some of these issues? All of my spiritual
study and contemplation led me to surrender my selfish life and to
be part of something larger than myself; something universal.
I learned that when I align myself with universal causes and to help
"the least of these" the Universe literally comes to my aide.
Christ came to serve and not to be served. Did you know that
the word Universe literally means one song? Uni=one,
verse=song. The plight of all people affects us whether we
acknowledge it or not, and it has begun to affect me more and more.
How much do we need to accumulate and how well off do we need to be
before we turn and offer a helping hand to those who have little or
no hope in life. Funny thing is, you cannot selflessly give
without receiving and being Blessed in return. It is a
Spiritual Law in all cultures. And, you never felt more Alive!
We are changing Raise The Bar Productions, Inc. to
a non-profit corporation and will use revenues to fund works and
workers that are already making an impact in areas that we are led
to participate with.
What can you do in your arena to help someone somewhere with hope,
opportunity, support, a kind word of encouragement, and prayer?
Won't you consider doing unto others as you would have them do unto
you? I encourage you to do so.

Isaiah chapter 58 verses 6 - 12: I'll tell you what
it really means to worship the LORD. Remove the chains of prisoners
who are chained unjustly. Free those who are abused!
Share your food with everyone who is hungry; share your home with
the poor and homeless. Give clothes to those in need; don't turn
away your relatives.
Then your light will shine like the dawning sun, and you will quickly be
healed. Your honesty will protect you as you advance, and the glory
of the LORD will defend you from behind.
When you beg the LORD for help, he will answer, "Here I am!" Don't
mistreat others or falsely accuse them or say something cruel.
Give your food to the hungry and care for the homeless. Then your
light will shine in the dark; your darkest hour will be like the
noonday sun.
The LORD will always guide you and provide good things to eat when
you are in the desert. He will make you healthy. You will be like a
garden that has plenty of water or like a stream that never runs
dry.
You will rebuild those houses left in ruins for years; you will be
known as a builder and repairer of city walls and streets.

Maybe this is just the key that will unlock the next step for you
in your life and affairs.
